Terms of service
The short, honest version of the rules. Plain language, no traps.

What the service is
MatchMyIdea finds people. You describe your idea or challenge in plain words, and we search public professional sources for people with directly relevant experience. Each delivered match comes with the evidence it's built on, links, a confirmed professional email, and drafted outreach. We find people. We don't book calls, make introductions, or manage relationships for you. You reach out yourself, in your own name.
Matches
- A match is a prepaid unit. One match is one delivered person.
- Matches are used only when a person is delivered. If a search can't deliver everyone you asked for, the undelivered matches return to your balance.
- Your first 3 matches are free. No account or card required.
- Packs and prices are on the pricing page.
What we don't guarantee
We stand behind the relevance and evidence of each match, but we can't control other people. We don't guarantee that anyone you contact will reply, agree to talk, or work with you.
Acceptable use
- No harassment. The people in your matches are real. Contact them respectfully or not at all.
- No bulk scraping of matches, results, or any part of the service.
- No automated resale or repackaging of matches as your own product or data feed.
We can suspend accounts that break these rules.
Refunds and problems
If a purchase went wrong or the matches missed the mark, email hello@matchmyidea.com and a person will look at it. We'd rather fix a problem than argue about one.
Changes and disputes
The service will keep changing as it improves. When these terms change materially, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. If we ever have a disagreement, contact us first through the contact page. Most problems turn out to be misunderstandings that a short email solves.
Your data
How we collect and handle your data is covered separately in the privacy policy. From your account page you can export your data, delete individual searches, or delete your account entirely. If you searched without an account, email hello@matchmyidea.com from the address you used and we'll take care of it by hand.
A note on legal review
As of the effective date above, these terms are the accurate, plain-language rules we actually operate by, but they have not yet been through formal legal review. They'll be revised when that review is complete.
